Anchor Kathy Vara has left KABC-TV in Los Angeles to return to KNBC. She will join the early morning newscast, where she anchored from 1994 to 2001.

Kenny Lopez jumps 67 markets to a multimedia journalist at KTXL in Sacramento from KVEO in Brownsville, Texas.
Alycia Lane, who is Puerto Rican, has been hired as a weekend anchor at KNBC in Los Angeles. She previously was an anchor in Philadelphia. She replaces Kim Baldonado, who is now as weekday mid-day anchor.

Alexandra Rasmus-Varrath, a three-time (Northwestern ’99-’01) CCNMA scholarship winner while at Northwestern University, has been hired as a reporter at Fox affiliate KTVU-TV in Oakland, which is near to where she grew up in San Ramon. Alexandra had been a reporter at Fox affiliate KSAZ-TV in Phoenix.
