The News Tape Editor/Tape Operator has general responsibility for editing video for newscasts

Duties Include:
• Editing stories for reporters, including vo/sots and full-reporter packages with natural sound, reporter track, stand-ups and interview elements
• Editing video to match scripts as assigned by producers.
• Monitoring quality of video during newscasts
• Recording video being fed from remote SNG or microwave trucks, network feeds or special downlinks.
• Running tape playback units in production during newscasts.
• Assisting promotion personnel with production of topical promos and special segments.
• Creating compelling audio and video that tells a story with words and pictures

Job Qualifications Include:
