As of tomorrow, he’s the full-time guy at LA Daily. Romero, a 1990 CCNMA Scholarship winner while at UCLA, also blogs about electronic dance music at his own Dance Blogga. 2000 CCNMA scholarship recipient Melissa Segura (Santa Clara University) has been promoted from reporter-writer to staff writer at Sports Illustrated in New York.

Kenny Lopez jumps 67 markets to a multimedia journalist at KTXL in Sacramento from KVEO in Brownsville, Texas.

Alycia Lane, who is Puerto Rican, has been hired as a weekend anchor at KNBC in Los Angeles. She previously was an anchor in Philadelphia. She replaces Kim Baldonado, who is now as weekday mid-day anchor.

Former CBS News correspondent Vince Gonzales is now a correspondent for KCET’s “SoCal Connected.”
